Has anyone recorded into an HMC150 from SD video?

I have an upcoming job to shoot some video in HD with the HMC150, but first the client wants me to make some DVD's from his VHS tapes.

Normally I would use an older DV camcorder and use pass through to a computer, but I was thinking the HMC150 would be easier, but never done that .

Any advice?

There's no reason to use your HMC; your old DV camera will do just as good a job.

I thought the HMC150's composite is input-only? Plus, the HMC doesn't have Firewire to connect to the computer. You'd be looking at uncompressed HDMI capture.

Thanks guys. It's been so long since I had to "capture". I guess the old DV cam is the way to go.

This is not possible. There are no video inputs on the HMC150.
