Has anyone received an error message with new camera?

I received some type of error message where some file was damaged or corrupt...and I had to repair it.

This was on a brand new FS100...I don't remember if I saw this before on a previous brand new FS100.

Anyone?

Yes it happened to me too. Pretty much the same thing. I turned the camera on for the first time ever and it came up with an error message and that it needed to repair or reformat or something... Camera has worked without fault ever since.

Did you place a SD card that you put into a mac into it and it do that? I always copy protect my SD card because OSX likes to add files when it indexes the card, which both the FS100 and AF100 do not really like.

Hey...no, I just had the Sony FMU connected to it when I turned on the camera for the first time...maybe just gave that error because the unit had to be reformatted..

I think when you replace an SD card and the contents don't jive with what is on the FMU, you will usually get a message saying a file tracking thing has to be repaired. When it is done, nothing is harmed on the cards.

I get that message when I put in a card that's not formatted to the camera, that's normal. However, I have received the error while I was actually shooting.
