F55: Has anyone put their eye up to the new OLED VF.

Maybe a tiny bit, but the F55 in my hand is worth 3 times what any of the F35's are worth. Even worse case for the F23 and the SRW9000PL in the pic. Everything is changing - even the EVF connectors.

I am going to try once more to get the OLED up to my eye on Friday. Mitch Gross said very nice things about it - but I am still VERY eager to see for myself. I like the idea of having a small image area - like looking through an SR3 i am guessing. We shall see.

I want a better EFV as any guy here and OLED is quite tempting, but if it's any like the OLED screen of my girlfriend's phone (that got yellowish plus a general hue shift and lost contrast within a year), than OLED is maybe not mature enough for professional gear.

Go to any camera store and check A99 EVF. The OLED EVF for F5/F55 won't be that different from that

I had a quick look through the OLED at a recent Top-Teks demo at Pinewood Studios and I have to say it was very impressive, The DOP I was with was even more impressed with resolution and colour fidelity.

Sony have put an oled screen into their new PSP vita so I'd think they'd have the tech down by now unless they want to recall thousands of vitas a year or so from now.
