Has anyone noticed the mic on the dvx100?

I tried to use it but the input volume was so low the only thing I could hear was a tap on the head. Has anyone had any success with the built-in mic?

..ya know, the other day i picked up my camera, and i did notice there was a mic on it..

..check to be sure your levels are set to mic, and not line, and that your levels on the dials arent turned down low.. the mic should be fine for picking up close sound at regular volume levels.

I thought I did, but rather than missing something I probably overlooked something, and I will check the camera switches again. Thank you.
