Has anyone here used the Sony PMW320K?

Have used quite a bit. Great in low light, nice shoulder mount, much better than EX3 for hand held. Access to zoom rocker with left hand is tough.

If so, any thoughts?
I own one, and my thoughts are fantastic value for money. In many ways it's an EX1R in a full professional shouldermount form. Whether or not that's what you want is a matter of individual choice. Compared to an EX1R:

Pros: Form factor lends itself to handholding - even though heavier, I could handhold a PMW320 comfortably for FAR longer than an EX1, it's down to balance. Full professional connectivity - V-lock, radiomic integration etc etc. Weight can make for smoother pans etc. Viewfinder is extremely good.

Cons: Weight can be double edged sword - benefit in terms of stability, but means heavier duty tripod. Another double edged sword - V-lock batteries are a benefit on the one hand, but dearer than most prosumer batteries.

It's not a problem for me, but it could really do with the XDCAM422 codec to be fully broadcast acceptable. That said I compared it to the Panasonic HPX371, which is probably the closest rival, and whilst the latter has a codec which is fully broadcast rated, the 1/2" chips of the 320 gave significantly better results than the 1/3" of the 371. (Mainly regarding low light and dof issues.)

Yes, it could be better, but such as the PMW350 is a lot dearer - this isn't that much more than an EX1R. As said at the start - fantastic value for money - if you're looking for a shouldermount camera. If you're on a tight budget, and can't afford anyhting 2/3", it's probably the best camera out there for news.
