I have a dvx100b that's about 2 years old. 47 hours of runtime on it. I've recorded lots of stuff in progressive mode and it always worked fine. Yesterday I shot a few things and when I looked at the footage on the computer it was interlaced.
I went back and double checked the camera settings, reshot test footage in 30P and 24P to double check. The viewfinder *looks* like it's in progressive mode, but when I pull the footage into the computer, it is clearly interlaced.
I also went back and re-captured some old footage and confirmed that it is not interlaced, so I think everything on the computer end is ok.
Has anyone ever hear of a 100b developing a problem like this? I tried pushing the reset button, and also left the battery off overnight, but the problem persists today.
Possibly unrelated, I noticed that the handle rocker zoom acts like it only has the high speed option now. No matter how lightly I touch, I get no zoom, then boom, high speed, not the nice slow crawl like I had before.
Any suggestions other than send it in for repairs?
