Has anyone else observed SH pulsing?

On locked shots when shooting in SH, factory or hacked settings, the entire image pulses, most noticeably on flat sections of color. Is there any way to make it stop?

It only appears on SH, tried various bitrates, shutter 1/60, 250 ISO, nothing really makes a difference. Whatever, useless forum.

Please check your attitude and rudeness. If you can't play nice here and maintain a professional respectful demeanor then please find another useless forum to frequent.

In my experience this is not true. I have 720p footage from stock GH1 (early 2009 body)- which shows pulsing.
I also have footage of 1080p GH13 (Jan 2009 body) that also shows the pulse.

Hack or not, FH or SH, old sensor or new sensor.....it's there:undecided

Alignment1,

I've been trying to get a handle on the 720p pulsing issue. Is it the kind caused by empty (i.e. 192 byte) frames? If you have a PC you can run Stream Parser, available here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showpost.php?p=2076390&postcount=75, and it will show frame sizes. It would be great if you could post screenshots of the Stream Parser frame chart from a couple of samples. Specifically, I'm trying to determine if empty frames show up after or before I frames, or somewhere else.

192's signify frame dropping, which are either duplicates of the last valid frame (freezing) or missing altogether (jumping). So if frame 1 is valid, and frames 2-4 are 192's, then frame 1 will be 4 frames long. Or if it froze, the frame order would be 1,5,6,7.... it still records 24fps, its just those 3/24's of your scene are missing. Either way, its not worth whatever gain in image quality you might be going for.

Note that the 192's themselves arent necessarily the dropped frames, they just signify it.
