To light like Casino and Goodfellas you need both Frensel and softlights and some incredible expertise. Its sorta like asking what kind of sneakers you need to win gold at the next olympics. But I don't say this to be discouraging, just to let you know that while video equipment of today offers the promise of instant results, the mileage you get will vary based on your inherent talent, the hard work you put in to learn, the resources you are able to bring to the table, and sadly. for most of us anyway time and experience.
There are of course those who can pull on a pair of Nikes and just go and run for the gold, they have that much inherent talent.
Most of us train for years.
You should do what we mostly all have done---Go for it, do your best--- in this industry there are many who HAVE walked in and shown us all what talent and daring can do. You can only improve with time. But don't hold back, do your most daring work now, we usually only get safer and more conservative with time. Just be prepared to stick with it if you dont get to collect Oscar Gold the first time out.
Scott I cant agree with you more, I absolutly cant stand seeing a nice picture with crap quality sound... You know that amatuer like sound that kinda echos in the room...
That bad quality sound instantly takes any Pro quality away from videos in my mind....
I think thats why when I see music videos done with this camera they look so Awsome because the sound is just a music track that has been proffessionaly recorded...
I was going to get the Senheinzer me66.... Now would you recommend something else?
