I'm looking to replace the inside hinge cover on my DVX100. Got the part from Spec Comm, just looking for a step by step take-apart guide for this camera. If you guys have any links to something like that, then...:Drogar-Happy(DBG): and thank you

Nobody has anything on this? At least a suggestion? Should I attempt to do it myself, should I take it to a tech?
 
You can do it youreself, but ti's a risky job. There are a lot of ribboncables you have to undo and i read a topic on DVXuser about someone who took his DVX100A apart, and had problems with fixing the LCD. It went white, and he took his DVX apart several times to fix it. He even had the LCD on white screen when the cam was on OFF. So, maybe (if no-one else has any guide for taking it apart) you should really consider taking it apart. I don't know how handy you are...
 
I've been looking at the part for over a week now, and still can't convince myself that i'm handy enought to put it back together, just because I don't know where to start, and I might take it apart or put it back in the wrong order. The part that i'm reffering to is the inside hinge cover of the LCD, it's practically missing, but from what I see i need to take the entire LCD off first to replace that part. I might just use as it is, i'm using an external monitor anyway, so wouldn't need to open my LCD too much in the first place.

Thanks, but I think I can live with it that way for now. I was looking for a DIY guide to take the DVX100 apart.
