The size of a stack of 3.5 inch hard drive and weighing in at only 300 grams, the MCE QuickStream DV/HDV is a simple, small and strong portable direct video capture device. Works with any DV or HD video camera with a Firewire 400 port (IEEE1394) - I used it very happily with a Panasonic DVX-102b (also for sale - see my separate thread). Allows non-tape/non-card recording of video + audio. Or record onto tape/card at the same time (for a safety back-up).
Records high quality HDV or DV clips, on-the-fly, via your camera's FireWire port, in your choice of file format (eg AVI, AVI2, DV, Quicktime, M2T). Save lots of times - just drag+drop clip files to your computer (Windows or Apple). No more boring capture sessions for tape users! No more tape/card changes during filming! And review your footage on-site immediately.
Mounts direct to on-camera hot shoe, or attach to camera's tripod mount.
Unit is in excellent condition - very little use, and my life has moved on from video (boo hoo). I'm selling this on ebay - buy it now for AU$750 + shipping. Interested? Please pm me or call (0414 376 965). Kirk.
The kit includes:
> MCE Tech HDV/DV recorder (12 hour capacity) with rechargeable internal Li-ion battery (provides 90 minutes recording time)
> Battery charger adapters - for 240V AC (Australia) and car cigarette lighter jack (NOTE: battery will also recharge when the Quickstream is attached to computer via a bus-poweered Firewire 400 port). In addition, any DC power source (6 to 18V) can be used to recharge the battery
> extended (external) battery pack <QSDVBATT35> - Digipower DPS-9000 (Li-ion 9000mAh). This extended battery plugs into the Quickstream, and mounts either above or below the recorder. Provides 3.5 hours recording time (recharge using Quickstream rechargers)
> hotshoe gimbal mount
> 15cm Firewire400 to mini-Firewire connector cable
> power connector cable (Quickstream to external battery pack)
> user's guide CD disc
