Cine-EI, 180 degree shutter and 25 FPS with a tungsten white balance (I liked using an 85) did me for most of my projects!

Thank you! why 25 frames per second ? For example, I work in a movie ... and as far as I can remember always filmed on 24 and 23.976 fps. or am I wrong ?

CineEI, 180 degree shutter, 23.97 FPS, 12bit 4:4:4, tungsten or daylight white balance depending on the situation. He is probably using 25 since he lives in PAL land.

Yeah 25FPS as we are in Europe. The only annoying thing about it is there is no DCP support for 25P. A bit poor really.

I usually recorded 4:4:4 10-bit to my cinedeck, quality Filmscan 1. It was about 350-400mbps so in line with ProRes 444/DNxHD 444.

Thanks for answers! the CineEI ... but there is a difference between 400, 600, 800, 1000EI? When I have these values on playback, nothing changes.

In Cine-EI, the only difference between the EI settings is the output LUT - it applies some gain to "preview" your finished picture. It is not possible to apply electronic gain in CineEI mode. The camera is always recording at its native ISO.

If you are viewing through the IF box output you'll not see a difference as only the SDI outs and monitor out are affected by the LUT etc..

How budget? I have a Les Bosher remounted Tamron available for sale for a few hundred pounds. It isn't pretty but it's a superb conversion and does the job very well. Good "test" lens

You are selling? and you can be more? photo lens what lens? sell and for how much?

the original sony PL lenses 35mm 50mm and 85mm can be found on sale for around 600/lens if you do some hunting. Adorama has a bunch listed on eBay right now for around $800 each. I think this is the way to go with the F35 for budget/starting out. The older set is nearly identical optically to the newer cinelta 4k PL lens which I have used personally and read a few reviews and for the price/performance they are better than CP.2's.

and as a plus they "talk" to the camera so you will get your lens info in camera.

i know i owe you pics to replace the F35 CCD still, I have been traveling and working too much. I will get to it this weekend.
