Has anyone here ever tried this or I will be the first one?

My Camera rigs have become so much heavier with Steadicam
I need to makeup my mind which one to pick "Off Road version or "smooth road"
I really Need some feedback/Advise/motivation on this.

I saw these things on the British Open all over the links. I thought it was really cool but forgot to come talk about them. I haven't tried one but the TV footage I saw with the SteadiCams was smooth as glass, and they were in the "off-road" versions I would guess.

I've tried it without a Steadicam on, and it's really rather neat.

For shots with lots of walking - long distance (like Golf as a perfect example) or really precise slow moves, it's really good. Take a bit of getting used to, to "trust" it to not go zipping off on you. But once you've got that pat, you are set.

I've never tried a regular Segway, but after a few minutes on the HandsFree, I could feel it becoming more and more automatic & instinctual to use. Didn't need to think so much, as just go!
