EVA1: Hands on with working EVA1 Updated for Day 2 shooting.

Mitch or Noel: can you punch-in and toggle around the frame to check focus while you're recording?

Also, just would like to confirm: when recording 5.7k raw at 24p/30p to an external recorder there is no crop, correct? Crop is only at higher frame rates higher than 30p?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

EXPAND (focus check):
Yes, EVA1 allows one to zoom in and move the zoomed window about the frame, including while recording.

5.7K RAW crop:
5.7K is the full recordable resolution of the sensor. It is the Super-35 image area. When recording 5.7K RAW (which will be included in a future firmware update) the full Super-35 image is recorded with no crop. 5.7K RAW recording will be available at frame rates up to 30p.

So when recording UHD and 4K the sensor is effectively smaller than S35?

When recording internally in 4K/UHD the full 5.7K Super-35 sensor is utilized with SuperSampling. When outputting 4K RAW I cannot state for certain because we have not come to that yet (RAW will be a later firmware update).

Thanks Mitch. One more question as I seem to hear conflicting information on various sites: is the 5.7k raw output 10 bit or 12 bit?
