I've been digging around on the forums for a while now, and I just got my GH2. I've very new to Premiere and video editing in general, but I'm competent and a quick learner.
I can import the .mts files into Premiere, but I've noticed a few threads about workflow mentioning converting the .mts to another format.
I'm trying to understand why this is necessary, what are the pros and cons?
And if I'm using Premiere and AE, what would be my best option for experimentation?
I'm currently making videos for local business and promotional events for churches. 720p is fine, but I'd like to start doing 1080 to future proof them.
Thanks!
L
