HAND SOLO - A Star Wars Toy Commercial Parody watch!

Remember the classic Star Wars toy commercials from the 80's? What if the kids from back in the 80's continued to play with those toys as adults today? We decided on recreating the AT-ST Scout Walker commercial with a twist.

Your exposure needs some work (camera auto adjusts exposure at ~1:13, you shouldn't see that) and the colour correction is lacking technically and doesn't really make sense with the content. Also I'd cut to the dialogue a little earlier, the commercial bit is kinda long and the audience may think that's all it is and stop watching.

That said, I laughed several times throughout. The dialogue and acting was good, and it was fun to watch.

Thank you SOOO much for such contructive criticism! You're totally right about the exposure. I need to learn how to lock exposure on my HV30. I know there's a trick... I just haven't tried it yet. As for the color correction, the raw footage was a bit too clean and polished compared to the movie footage. I wanted the bluish tint to stay consistent and the raw footage was just too vivid. The audio is definitely lacking. I gave it a honest effort, but audio is definitely an artform I still need to learn.

Really funny imo. The guy with the big yoda doll is brilliant, quite a good actor! That image of him carrying the yoda doll and putting it in his car is great. Nice work!!

Thanks so much for the feedback. Clay is genuinely a hard core Star Wars fanboy and owns most of the toys/props we used for this short...including a TON more. That lifesized Yoda is AMAZING! Hahaha.
