Halloween Maneater

Considering how many people looked at this post, I can't imagine why you didn't get more responses!

Hot babe, nice "cleavage adjustment"... Oh, and nice video editting...

Question: The red ambient light during the burial was done with red lights? Looked great and gave the flick a real music-video look. DVX100's are fun, huh?

During the pool table shots, all I though was: "Left ball, center pocket..."
(Sorry, I couldn't resist that quip.)

"Hey bartender... Vodka for all, and leave the bottle within arms reach."

Very nice story. I have a comment on the lighting: you didn't use shadows very much. I found many scenes too evenly lit. (Except for that one on the street at night.)

Lack of shadows

Lack of shadows

Interesting point about even lighting and lack of shadows. To be honest I had to shoot it all in one day and so had to work as fast as possible, shooting, lighting and directing. But in the future I'll think more expressively about setting the tone and mood with the lights. Did put some effort into the coloured lighting in the garden though.

Thanks for your comments Impossible. Used 3 lights in the garden. One with a red gel, one with a green and one with a blue.

Quick question mahonpatrick:

Were the three lights all aimed at the subject? If they were, it looks like the DVX makes the RED predominent. I've never experimented with that lighting configuration before (outdoors at night) so I don't know.

I'm like a kid when I see these projects... I love it! I get excited and inspired, and I feel like I made the right choice with my buying power, which is usually next to nothing.

Bartender? You DIDN'T take my drink away, did you?
Matt
