I've known people who have cut those things open just to pour the flourescent chemicals on themselves and on occasion their tongue. Didn't seem to hurt them (though given the fact that they actually attempted this there may not have been much to loose in the first place...)

I remember when I was about 8, I was watching TV around july... I had a glowstick, and as I do with many things, even today, i was chewing on it.
Then the obvious happened, I ran into the bathroom, spitting it out of my mouth, into the toilet, and it burned like none other, not the burning of fire, but the burning of chemicals, with the fire of 1000 suns

I started on the backyard today, got a good 35% done. I'll post some pics probably the day after halloween.
