For a Halloween yard setup I thought it would be cool to project a spooky video or animated ghost. I would use a digital projector and aim it out a window onto a thin white sheet or similar material. If focused correctly the image should show through the sheet and provide a cool show.

Anyway -- what are you using? What did you do to it???
Please?

The first one?
VEGAS Baby!
Nothing much, just contrast brightness adjustment (I have t crush the blacks) and then a secondary color corrector with an EVER SO gentle desaturation (And I mean literally a gentle little hair of a touch)
I was just about to complain about how the DVX produces that kinda washed out look sometimes (not a comment on the original grabs, they were awesome) and then we see the power of color correction. Very nice.
That's the one my SanDiego friend! Start a new post and tell me what you did with that! I've been trying to recreate that with a shot of mine and I've tried EVERYTHING (well...)
I wish we had the original to compare to. I remember the original background sky being completely blown out so I chroma keyed that area of highlights and inserted a generic sundown sky photo. I used the pan and crop to bring it into an acceptable framing. The trees were there to begin with but I had to blur them out to create that faux DOF and went DOF happy by bluring the fence and everything else beyond the tree. This blur I did in photoshop (I might have used a stamp a little bit as well). Then, I put it back into Vegas and color corrected with glee.
The big key here was the chroma key action. There was enough area that I could do it to (without using the green or blue screen).
TC - sorry to highjack! You know you my main night owl!
Highjacking threads is the greatest part about this forum! I've instigated many myself.
I just finished decorating for the day. I'm about 80% done now, a bit behind schedule but I'll be damned if it doesn't look awesome. My buddy works at a landscaping company and brought over 2 trash bags FULL of moss, so the graveyard is completely realistic now. Very cool. I also added a foot coming out of the grave where the hand is coming out of.
Your "Do it in post" reminds me of a poster they have at dreamworks. It's in the animation department and it says "Finaling will do it." Finaling is basically the post production bitches of animation. I thought they were all going to kill themselves during the near-wrap of Shrek II.

Ahh -- and we sit here and post while the real bitches work! Cheezy Cheezy Creamy Cheeze
Dang it, Captain! I love that avatar! If I could figure out how to add one to my profile, I would have beaten you to the punch! (Feel my squirrely wrath!!!)
