I took the HVX200 out last night to shoot my friend's puppet show. He ended up going on last so I just plugged an XLR into their soundboard and shot the whole thing to practice follwing a live show using manual focusing.
For the puppet show, I wanted rich colors and dark darks (a little too dark when people step out of the spotlight), and I came pretty close to it - the settings look especially nice in front of the red curtains. It's certainly a lot better than I was hoping for and they are thrilled with the free little promo I cut for them.
The video itself is just a sampling of what they were doing. The hosts get more and more sloshed as it goes on so the language gets foul. There is also people putting pins through their arms, burlesque dancers wearing only pasties and other freakshow content that may not be appropriate for all parties within eyesight of your monitor.

This was a fast and dirty HVX200 job with results leaving all parties involved happy. The native .MXF support in Premiere CS3 has been flawless for me so far and my workflow has been much smoother as a result of it.
