Hairy Dog Short Video

I grabbed my trusty assistant and went out for some practice shots the other morning. I captured using 24pa and default settings. Adjusted the pedastal in post and then cropped.

Here's a link to the video and a grab posted below. Note, the video is a WMV v9. This format is flippin amazing at how well it compresses. I wasn't able to generate a Quicktime anywhere close in size. Might try again tomorrow with some other settings.

I really like the one of the fence. How did you make it go in and out of focus like that? Ive tried that alot to no avail. Tim.

I used the 1/64 ND filter and kept the iris open as wide as possible. This reduced the depth-of-field and allowed me to rack focus. Not the smoothest since I haven't mastered turning the focus ring smoothly. That is when I would like a follow focus.

Great stuff, gotta love MS for WMV9 (love may to strong a word::) ) But one thing is missing for you video, the big long slow motion shot of the dog running. I just kept waiting for with the the music. ;D

Hmm, I think you just gave me another "experiment" to try. I'll be calling up my trusty assistant once again! :D

Heh heh... well, if you have a website, it's interesting to see the hits things get based on the search engine query strings. The search "hairy boots" gets to my site all of the time. Not sure what the heck those people are actually looking for but I'm sure it's not what's on my site is not what they expect :D
