Hackers Suck

As you guys know I'm doing a film based on the Night Phoenix Press comic title "Epitaph". Well the NPP store was hacked last night. It wasn't wasn't just them but the hacker took out all of Ka-blam and IndyPlanet.com which is a portal for indie comic creators that prints (on demand), sales and distributes comics to stores. I think it sucks that people are simply out to create headaches for others.

Well the printing side is back up, but the store and distribution side are still down and it will probably take all weekend to fix it. There's supposed to be a backup store at Comixpress but ironically none of the books are up there yet and IP is still showing the Google "attack site" warning.

If they are just doing damage, then they are crackers, not hackers.

Hackers create.

Sorry to hear that, Nathyn. Yes, those peeps sucketh.

^ Re: Terry: Well, he had a good voice. A bit high pitched for a masculin voice but then again the BeeGees were probably the most scary in that area.

And who can forget the 'Captain and Tennille"? I used to watch thier TV variety hour show. Good stuff. Back then. For a kid my age. Back then.

Whooooo boy doggy. The 80's commercial scene sure had it's share of non historical moments in music history.

+1

The meaning of Hackers has been changed over the years, from something respectful to mean something Negative.

As Mikko has pointed out, trashing a site isn't done by Hackers, that's not what hacking is about.

Most likely done by some sad script Kiddies.

Thing you can do is learn from this and mistake and hopefully avoid a repeat.

it can be argued that such vandalism keeps technological security on its toes.

(yes, it does suck, btw)
