Pretty surprising I must admit.

No manual mode of course but in daylight it is still manageable.
Love the Fotasy lenses too.

I have a hacked GF2 that produces quite nice 720p footage in good light, but again no proper manual control.

So what is the lowest priced m4/3 camera currently being made that enables full manual control of video ? It it the GF6?

It would appear to be the GF6 at $598 from B&H. $140 more gets one the G6.

So what does the "hack" actually bring to the GX1?

I have a GX1 with the external EVF that I use mainly for "out 'n about" stills when I don't feel like lugging a GH3.

The hack is called "Galaxian" and it doubles the video bit rate.
It does not influence any other functions of the camera to my knowledge.
