GH2 Hacked GH2 vs AF100 test video?

Hi all,
Just a quick question if anyone has seen a decent video comparing the image quality of a hacked 42mbit GH2 and AF100.
If not, I would like to do one next week (borrowing a friend's AF100) just for the fun of it. I've never done these review/technical testing videos. Any suggestions on how to go about it? I presume I'd need some charts or something.

That would be fun to see!

Suggestions:
Use the same lens
Use the same scene at the same time
Include lots of motion in your scene with plenty of light (maybe flowing water? Grass? Leaves?)

Looking forward to your tests!

awesome, yes plz! +1 @ gereeches

if possible 100mm+ so you can have them aimed at the same exact part.

there are tons of things one could do . . . depends on how much time you wanna invest ^^

1)charts for resolving-power, moire and color (+ dimming light to see noise, blocking etc)

2) park with ppl walkin around (maybe a street for moving cars?)

should be minimum!! (pushy ^^, but would be awesome if u did it)

I did an unhacked comparison with the GH2 and the AF100 awhile back. There is another user on this board in the Raleigh Area that has the AF100. I am in Cary by the way.

The hard part is to get the settings of the AF100 to match the GH2. The AF100 has so many color controls and so many more stops of sharpness and noise reduction settings. I guess the best bet is to just set both cameras to their minimums for those settings.

You also have to keep everything fixed between shots. You need to use a sharp Legacy lens or the 12mm F2.0 because the focus will reset after you turn the camera on and off.

After the testing that I did with the AF100 and the unhacked GH2 I would be surprised if you could tell the difference between the footage from the two cameras in a properly setup test like that. The beauty of the AF100 is that it is so flexible with all of the controls it has. You have to fix all of those settings to one specific value so you virtually cripple the AF100.

Purely from an image quality perspective the AF100 is very similar to the GH2.

The only way I would personally take the GH2 over the AF100 would be if with the hack they were able to have a clean, true 59.96i HDMI out as well as the zoom in feature out the HDMI. That way true external recording will be possible without any extra post as well as the benefit of the zoom feature. Other than that, the rest of the features of the AF100 are either better or good enough when recording via SDI. There is something to be said about shooting with an actual video camera over a DSLR. Don't get me wrong I will continue to use my GH13 for a B cam or where size matters. I will eventually more than likely get the GH2 to replace the GH13, but my AF100 will more than likely always be my A cam.

Thanks for the tips folks. Come to think of it i think neither of us has a Panasonic Lumix lens to do a comparison! Think i can get that Leica 45mm.I'm just going to restrict it to in-camera compression.Any other suggestions feel free to bounce them. I'll aim to do it next Wednesday. Good thing about hong kong is there's always fast moving objects at every time of the day!Doing night tests will be challenging as nearly every goddamn street is illuminated!
