hack succefuly but stay at 17mbps

Hello

I have hack my gh1 succefully with Ptools but in my first test, regarding bitrate with media info, it stay around 17mbps.
Have anybody experience this problem ?

I have exactly the same problem
I'm using mediainfo on mac os X to check bitrates, and can have 60Mb/s in MJPEG mode but always 18Mb/s in AVCHD.
When I change bitrates..... Every time my gf1 said I can record 2h of AVCHD video on my 16Gb card? but no problem with Mjpeg mode ( 2min lol)

why i ask is if you guys are on mac and transcode the original footage at say 18Mbits then your converted files will be showing 18Mbits. if you are playing the original mts files then try another program to get bitrates, your scenes are not detailed enough to max bitrate, or you have not patched properly. this is my guess.
 
if mediainfo rely on headers information - that reports 17, soft must do real measurements for right bitrate showing...
 
the bitrate "problem" in AVCHD mode is because AVCHD has a dynamic bitrate - that's why you'll get the correct bitrate in MJPEG (fixed bitrate), and not in the AVCHD.

There's a sticky or a thread that explains it all. I believe they're working on something that will fix the bitrate on the AVCHD, or atleast raise the bottom end of the dynamic bitrate

What you're seeing (17mpbs) is normal. There are only certain shooting conditions which the camera will actually adjust to the higher bitrate (ie - fast motion).
