Hack Question???

I was given a GH1 from a friend of mine to hack. The camera was bought last year with model # WE9HB001290, so I know if is definitely hackable.

My question is...

He has the camera with firmware ver. 1.2. Do I just download the firmware update from Panasonic's website with version 1.3 here http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/download/fts/index2.html. I assume the version from May 10th on Panasonic's website is ver. 1.32 (hackable) considering if they were giving 1.34 on website then Vitaliy would have hacked it and all GH1s released would be able to use the GH13 hack.

Am I correct about all this before I go ahead and update his camera???
 
You are correct. When you open the firmware with the hack, that's your confirmation that the firmware is hackable.
 
Thanks! I was 95% sure about that, I just wanted to ask around before doing considering it was not my camera.
