GH2 hack Not Loading In Camera to Upgrade Firmware - Any Help Appreciated!

I have used a GH13 and upgraded the hacks for that camera easily many times. Stumped on the GH2!

Tried alot of variations and several SDHC cards but the camera won't recognize the bin file, just says "no valid picture to play". Original bin file is "GH2__V10.bin" and 176 GOP file is "GH2__V11.bin" .

Here's what I did:
1) Fresh format card in camera
2) Load GH2__V10.bin in PTools with ini files for setting in same directory
3) Click on ini letter in PTools to load setting - PTools confirms setting loaded
4) Save new firmware to GH2__V11.bin (careful to have two underscores)
5) Insert card and start camera - press play - I receive message "no valid picture to play"

I have been searching all over personal-view and everywhere (?)

As I mentioned, triedseveral cards, different machines for generating new firmware.

Has anyone else ever ran into this? I have successfully hacked my GH13 many times effortlessly - any clues would be appreciated!
 
As an additional note, I tried loading the original firmware file onto the card and the camera did recognize it - that must mean my new firmware I'm creating is either not being recognized or corrupted - any clues?
 
Tried saving the new files as GH2__V10.bin but that didn't work - am I misunderstanding what you meant by change version increment to 10?
 
Save to a V11, and keep the original firmware for future hack building

* I see what you were meaning; version increment is the first item on the hack list in ptool
 
Thanks - I have saved to V11 many times in testing without success - using PTools 3.63d - I don't think my GH2__V10.bin is corrupted because the camera successfully recognized it. Any of my new firmware creations are ignored even though I name them GH2__V11 - I do appreciate the assistance!
 
You need to enter a value of ten for the version increment in ptool. Otherwise it won't recognize the v11 file the first time you hack.
 
Awesome - that worked - thank you very much! Now, do I need to do the version increment of ten each time I do another hack update or just leave it at 1 from now on?
