I've done my best to keep up with the hack development / progress listed here and on personal view. And I've already got my GH2 on order. I've dug through a lot of posts but things move quite fast. I'm looking to do narrative work with my camera. I've done plenty of short films over the years and now I'd like to do a lot more; working up until I feel ready to put together a feature. The latter will be a while down the road but I have plenty of short scripts ready to shoot. Right now I'm wondering what the best hack(s) and card combination are right now for narrative work that will be projected (eventually) on a large screen? I'm okay with large files sizes and how much cards cost. It's just the price of "doing business". P2 cards ain't cheap either.
It seems from my reading that Seaquake 176 mbps GOP-1 and Aquamotion on the SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-1 cards are the way to go right now. Is that correct? And as long as I can get 176 mbps GOP-1 quality from the card is there any point in using an external recorder?
Like I said I've been reading the posts and watching footage samples but any nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
