GH2 Hack capable of 120 fps - can it be done?

Has anyone played with settings that would possibly allow 120 fps in 720p or 1080p? I have a project coming up that could really use this higher frame rate. I would think the hardware is capable of it given its abaility for such high data rates... Thanks for any input on this.

I forget the technical jargon, but from what I remember (because this comes up every so often): No. The read-reset of the sensor isn't fast enough, against AVCHD standard, or something else.

However, you can force a higher resolution out of 60p if you don't mind it being unstable - or a lower GOP helps for twixtor I think.

No, currently the GH2 can only do 1080p @ 30 FPS. It cannot do true 120 FPS footage with any resolution or codec.

60p at 1/240 of a second(or whatever is closest on the gh2. Twixter, Motion's optical flow and others seem quite good at simulating slow motion, just start with the right shutter speed, double the frame rate, to get the right motion blur.
