H264 question

I'm doing a Sorenson MP4. Our 5:57 Film compressed to 22 Megs and looks great. Less for folks to download, and it should work with quicktime the same exact way. Good .mov compression on a PC I have never gotten.

try lowering the audio down to like 32 or 22khz

mine is 400kbits per sec video
22khz audio
exactly 6min.

37mb

Yeah, we set it to 24 and I think he (webdog) set it at 800 for the bitrate, but I'm not sure. He says it looks good, so I'm hoping he's not BSing me... lol

once ours was under 500, it looked really bad for some reason. i've never done h.264 encoding before, so it was all trial and error.

Once you get it youll be alright, just a bad time for trial and error. I remember spearheading the H.264 codec when apple first introduced it for APW way back when, and NO ONE would agree with me, they still used WMV with is terrible quality and huge file sizes, well now its like 4 years later and guess what everyone is using??

And guess what computers have now been taking over at APW and its spawned out business's?

yup

Yeah, I agree, bad time, but it's cool... we got it...

I can't believe anyone would actually want to use WMV... what a terrible format...

The worst ever, they would try and convince me to drop my macs and give them WMV files for whatever project i was working on at the time for them. Its just funny how they all got macbook pros now, and i was the first to pick up a Macbook Pro out of them all as well, buncha babies...

LOL.

WMV is to H.264 as HDV is to DVCPro HD

Yeah, and now everyone groans over WMV... lol

I was thinking of maybe going with a Mac... not sure yet. I still wish the Amiga was still around...

My DVD version looks overly red on the TV but looks fine on the PC. I guess I'm going to have to re-encode and re-upload my DVD version.
