Cut together the trailer for 'Scratching the Surface: A Journey with H.E.A.R.T.'

Not savvy on compression/streaming video yet, so you'll have to give the 13.1 MB a couple of minutes to load--but it's there. :)

Clicky-clicky.

:o
Very well done trailer with a strong message. A real eye opener as intended.

Re: H.E.A.R.T. Trailer

I thought the journey was touring with the band Heart. This is amazing though.

Re: H.E.A.R.T. Trailer

Well, originally it was about the 80's reunion of Journey with Heart opening for them, but we had to call it off because fans kept confusing Steve Perry and Ann Wilson when they'd take the stage and it caused a few fist fights and Ann broke her nails on Steve's face, hence the name of the documentary...

Re: H.E.A.R.T. Trailer

That is some really beautiful footage, edited together to deliver a powerful message. Thank for restoring my faith in the good that documentary film making can bring about.

Good luck with your project and I would love to see more.

Congratulations

Re: H.E.A.R.T. Trailer

Thanks folks. Yeah, the full piece is half an hour--edited down from 32+ hours of footage. We have enough stuff to do several features (heh) but are hoping that the 1/2 hour piece will open the doors via the festival circuit to create longer opportunities to share what HEART is doing over there, whether by segments on TV or a longer feature. Only God knows, heh.

We've been selling the DVDs, which has been a reassurance because eventually we hope to sell enough that we can take the profits and pay for part of another trip over and for festival entry fees...because they're slowly draining me of every penny I have ever made. ;D

Bizarre thing is, I'm not even a documentarian by nature...I'm, like, a fiction kinda guy...

Oh, and the Land Rover belongs to H.E.A.R.T. :)

They go through about a set of shocks, 2 axles and 2 or 3 full sets of tires per year in Kenya...

Re: H.E.A.R.T. Trailer

Not much of a surprise really. haha. Seeing what those things go through over there. They enjoy every minute of it though! (the land rovers)

Beautiful footage by the way.

Re: H.E.A.R.T. Trailer

Success! The larger (640x480) version is now online.

Man, I hate being a newbie to the whole streaming thing...argh.
