I did a little walk about with this combo.
Loving the lens and super impressed with the ND.
28$ can go a long way in this day and age.

I think the micro stutters come from it being hand held all the way and considering the size of the camera and its light weight it is rather unavoidable.

Thanks for another great GX7 video! How do you like the Variable ND filter? Did you notice any weird color cast or significant sharpness reduction while using it? Have you tried using it with a longer lenses? I have the Polaroid Variable ND filter, which works fine with my Rokinon 16mm, but for some reason sharpness takes a major hit when I use it with my Samyang 85mm.

awesome video! i had no idea the gx7 was that good for video.

i use a lot of those cheap nd variable filters as well and they help get great depth of field and i dont get any color change but it does take away from the sharpness of my gh3

I also own a 7 times more expensive Eclipse Vari ND by Genustech and frankly I am not seeing much differences.
I have not tested the cheapo Fotasy on many lenses. So far I have used it with a Sigma 30mm and the Rokinon from this clip.
Keep in mind, those small M43 sensors are getting mainly the center of the lens so a cheap ND can do wonders since we are not even seeing any of the vignetting on the edges.

As you see in the clip above, the sharpness is very fair and there are no other issues really. It might be increasing your blues by a tad but I am not even sure of that.
Nothing you would not be able to fix in 2 minutes in post.

I did a a little photo shoot with the GX7 and a Pana Leica 25mm combo and it performed beautifully. Really powerful and versatile little beast.
The Leica did great too but I find pretty flat at times. Anyways..
