Greetings all!
I'm involved with a 501c3 based in Virginia that generates school supplies and teacher funds for two orphanages in Liberia. It's a small organization, and has done some amazing work. After 5 years, the organizations board of directors are making the 14 hour trip to Liberia in January to finally get on the ground, assess the needs of the children and the orphanages, and come back to the states with some clearer ideas on how to improve the conditions for the children.
We're hoping to document the trip with a camera that's been donated, and upon departure from Liberia, leave the video camera with the orphanage for educational purposes, and teach the children some of the basics of video production, etc. It certainly doesn't have to be anything elaborate! We'd just like to capture the video! The donation is tax deductible as well! I know most of the folks here are incredibly resourceful, and I thought I'd let everyone know what we're doing!
