GS120 - dud camera ???

I know this is the DVX100 board but perhaps someone can help me. I just got a Panny gs120 and have been playing around with it for a day or so. I primarily got it as a tape transport to save wear on my DVx100 but I did read that it supposidly had a nice picture too. Well the picture looks like crape to me, fuzzy and I am not comparing it to my DVX100 but to footage I took with a 3 year old sony dcr-trv17. Do i have a dud here, perhaps I got taken for a ride as I got it from Buydig.com and it was a good $100 or so cheaper than the rest of the stores. It looks like a genuine camera ??? Help, I need to send it back soon if it's faulty. The picture is just not a crisp as the 3 year old sony.

There's something wrong with either your settings or the camera itself. The GS-120 should be a fine little 3-chipper; no DVX, but who are we kidding?

On the other hand, Buydig, while kind of a grey market store, has been pretty reputable in the past. Give them a call and see what they say.
