Guess it depends.
2 of these for $175 with shipping vs 2 $20 collapsable 5 in 1 units from Amazon.
Are these 4 1/2 times better because of an umbrella function?
After all, we have all had an umbrella that went to crap.
So I received my square bounce umbrellas I bought right after NAB (not part of this deal here).
Quality is quite decent. The silver one has some dirt smudges that look like burn marks on the inside, but not out/bounce side, so it doesn't affect the bounce properties, the white has some slight rust colored marring on the outside/bounce surface, but again, it doesn't really affect the bounce properties, so it's no big deal. It opens easily, but is a touch fiddly to close because you have to be careful to make sure the pleats align so that they can wrap smoothly around the center pole. Bag is nice. Is it worth the price - probably, though I wouldn't cry if for the $189 price they actually had 3 units by also including a gold one... I have a feeling that a new competitor is gonna offer a deal like that, "3 square bounce umbrellas, white, silver, gold, for $150 shipped".
But I don't regret the purchase. It will be quite useful to me.
