Gritty 70s Look

I just got my DVX 100B and am still in the process of playing with the settings to see different possibilities with the way the image looks. Can anyone help to get me that "Gritty 70s Look". I've played with the pedastal and that helps a lot, but I'm not sure what to do about the chroma settings, gamma, etc.

I also have magic bullet, so if anyone knows how to give that 70's look with magic bullet and/or the DVX 100B, please let me know.
 
What's the best way to desaturate using in camera effects? Again, I'm still new to all the features so I'm trying to get a better understanding of how this would be possible.
