FS7: Grip plug broke!

Damn,
I just discovered that the tip of the Plug for my FS7 Handle Grip broke off. I don't know if it broke off inside the port or outside.
Does anyone know if its possible to fix that without sending it to Sony.
I have an electronics repair guy just down the street who could probably install a new plug if I can get one
 
They’re standard lanc plugs, no?
The plug of my grip on my FS700 broke as well, I bought a lanc cable and took the plug from that.
