Grindhouse contest entry.

dude i love your trailer i think its great, i hope you make it into the selection, you should be proud. i love the blaxploitation feel of it, its got some black belt jones vibe. I was wondering if you could tell me what you used to export with and what settings, it looks great on the internet.

Sorry,dudes. I upgraded my bandwidth and things got moved around. I will resolve shortly...Jasoneisener...I exported from quicktime as; MPEG-4, 320x180, high quality, keyframe every 30 frames, data rate capped at 1000 kbps, sound AAC 128 32khz.

They've been on my hard drive for a while, I believe I ripped them off a Bruce Lee soundboard that was on Ebaumsworld.

you captured that 70s martial arts movie vibe to a tea with your fantastic grading, snap zooms and cheesy special effects, not to forget the sound effects and awesome dialogue! Ha UNREALLLLL!
 
So how do it work? is it just a trailer or is there really a feature? It's a contest for trailers? What's the backstory here?
 
No feature yet. The trailer was made specifically for the Grindhouse trailer contest. The day I heard about it, I wrote the script that afternoon and was shooting by the weekend. I just did a short with the same actor that played at the Science Fiction Short Film festival in Seattle and knew I could get him on a moments notice. I had all the gear from that so I was able to just run and gun. The rest of the actors are friends of mine, or students of the lead actor (he's a martial arts instructor). I basically did everything, lit it, shot it, cut it, mixed it. Never had more fun working on something.
