Hi folks, I've signed up mainly to participate in the DVX-200 section having bought one last week, but will take a look round the other sections too.

I'm Allen McLaughlin, I'm from Paisley, Scotland near Glasgow and have been using various video cameras and gear since I was at college aged 18 back in the late 80's. By day (and night) I am a senior cameraman with the BBC, based in Glasgow, I travel around the UK and beyond filming all sorts of events and occasions, sports, concerts etc for the BBC. The rest of the time I enjoy hobby video making, little docs, films, music videos etc and have recently gotten into 4K with a Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 about a year ago and just last week adding the DVX-200 to my armoury.

Looking forward to some interesting reading and discussion here.

Cheers !

Al

Hi Allen welcome to DVXuser. Whilst most of the members seem to be Americans there are a few Brits and others on here as well.

Hi Allen,

Congrats on your new DVX200. Interestingly it was the HD Warrior review which you featured in that was a contributory factor in me buying mine. I hope you are "getting to grips" with the unit and enjoying it. I have fond memories of Paisley, Glasgow and Dumbarton from the late 70's - been too long!

Regards
Kevin
