Greenscreen tests

The shadows around the feet are a dead giveaway, also bluescreen works better for blonde and lighter hair people. glad to you are using your camera though I have been too busy lately to get much out on mine.

Yes, that was done to show the corporate types that you can do more than record someone standing near a white wall. And I have been extremely busy.
The HVX has worked on many great projects.

Cool. Does the software have a plugin for shadows. How are you creating them? I use a desaturated, and distorted copy of my key layer but it's time consuming. Nice work.

The Software is Ultra 2 from Serious Magic which was recently acquired by Adobe. I went to upgrade to AE 7 Pro and could purchase Ultra 2 for only $200 I had no idea how powerful it was. The shadows are part of the program. In about 6 months they plan to add the capability of creating your own 3D environments which will have the ability to track as well. Right now you can use your still graphics and video as backgrounds and foregrounds.

Hey, HVXGuy--

I have been doing some tests with green screen, and I've been trying to tune the camera settings for the best edges.

Could you do me a huge favor and post a link to a frame grab from the raw footage? I'd like to compare it to what I've been getting.

I have started to set the detail lower, in order to get rid of the edge enhancement, but even at -7, I can't get it to go away. I wind up spending lots of time in the keying program fixing problems associated with this.

Some people have said that they've seen footage without these artifacts, but I'm not sure if that's just good keying technique, or better camera settings.

My tests and another guy's tests have ruled out lighting as the issue-- the artifacts seem to persist across different screen and lighting scenarios.

Thanks,

- Eugene

Sure, send me your e-mail and I will send a .jpg
Thanks

thats pretty cool. the tracking is what completes the package there to add the professional look. thanks for this!

Yes, we are just starting up with this....
It is really geared to corporate work....
When Adobe/Serious release a way to make your
own backgrounds then it will get more interesting.
Those backs they have are 4:3 so some cropping
is going on. They are also 29.97.....
I need 23.976 and 24 2K backs and then
we are really in business.
