Has anyone here really put the HVX through its paces doing greenscreen work?

Im not talking about ChromaFlex although a good product its a little pricy and green/blue screening is more my cup of tea.

I have seen some keying here but has anyone really used it for e.g

Minutre shot,
background replacemnets with motion tracking?

Soon I will be shooting my very first live action short film and I will be looking at almost complete set replacemnets with motion tracking and would like to know if they had any hickups with there HVX.

I do it right inside FCP without any thrid party anything and it works great.

But you have to light and shoot the footage properly on set first and formost! If you don't, you get bad green screen shots and that can make it a royal PITA on any system.

FCP keying tools are beat for keying ,yeah for a some work but its worth it to look at Keylight in AE 7 Pro is a way better keyer the key tools in FCP have been lacking since ver 4 .
I do all my green screen work for shows i work on wit the HVX and mix between 720 and 1080 .But latley i have been fidning a nice sweetness with 720 .
Of course 1080 can get me better luma values but im sticking to what i have firgured out that works and is proven for both broadcast and feature things i have done with the HVX.

If you are talking Motion tracking best tools for that next to Boujou has to be Imagineers tools , Motor,Moent and Mokey if you have the budget i recommend them. give me a planar tracker anyday over a point tracker.

and yes the correct lighting on your screen or whatever your using for a drop needs to be in correct light but remeber you need to light subjects also or else you get nasty spill and make sure you have them far enough away from the drop , weather its a person or a min model.
 
I use Adobe products and have After effects 6.5 Pro with keylight... i agree keylight is the keyer of choice and I beleave mainly because it is a very powerfull plugin with a great range of features.

After effects 6.5 and 7 have motion tracking which is a quite easy tool to use. It tracks 2d items in a 2d space. Ill have a look into Imagineers tools....

Has anyone here got some screen grabs or video or a HVX minutre shot before and after?
