I just completed a short travel film from the caribbean island of Dominica, where we shot almost exclusively with the FS700 / O7Q / Canon L lenses / Ronin, in a mix of 4K2HD ProRes @ 60p, 4K raw @ 24, 60 & 120p and 2K raw at 240p.

Hiking all the gear into some of the locations was definitely a challenge, but I'm glad we did as the image quality was always incredible.

Just thought I'd share! More stills from shots that didn't make it at http://green-triangles.com

terrific! love it! would love to see some pics of your setups!

did you use a lot of lighting/styros for fill?

anyway, you did a great job there!

Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have any good BTS shots to share, but to be honest there wasn't much set up at all – we didn't use lighting or any kind of fill, just straight run and gun for all of it. There's a couple of shots where we had to bring up a couple of faces in the grade but for the most part we were lucky.

The underwater shot was actually done with just a plain old iPhone 5s in a waterproof case (which is part of the reason it's such a quick shot, heh).

The ronin combo would definitely be a killer on the arms, if it weren't for the Atlas Camera Support, which is incredible. Puts almost all the weight on your back and makes it actually useable for more than a minute or so. Several of the Ronin shots in the finished film are the result of 15-20min takes, which I couldn't even dream of before.

The ProRes shots were SLog2, the rest raw. All graded in Davinci Resolve.
