GH4 Green Tint with Tiffen ND Filter?

Hey all,
I'm using a a Tiffen 1.2 4x4 ND filter in a matte box on the front of my GH4...Recently I noticed a green tint over the whole image when using the filter. Is this normal? Anything I can do to fix it? It's easy to fix in post, but I'd prefer not to have it in the first place. I've used Tiffen screw on ND's in the past without issue, so I'm wondering what the difference is.

No ND0.jpgND0.jpg

First image is no ND, second is ND with the green tint. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I actually hadn't tried balancing through the filter. I normally dial in my white balance based on the scene, and eyeball it until I'm happy with it...Maybe that's not the best workflow. A lot of the concerts I shoot have so many mixed light sources that it just looks better if I do it by eye, so I've carried that habit over to my other shoots as well. The images above were at 5600.

Anyway, I just went out and tried balancing through the filter using a white piece of paper...Still has the green tint. I even tried using the color tweaking option to pull it towards magenta, still looks green.

And I just realized that my screw on NDs are Hoyas, not Tiffen. Must be why they're working better for me. D'oh!

So I should look for Tiffen's Water White series for my next 4x4 filter? Any other brands with little-to-no color shift?
