Green Screen_I want to Shoot 9x16

I am planning on doing some green screen shoots soon. They are going to be walkons for a website.

I wanted to ask for advice on a safe way to shoot 9x16 (instead of 16x9) with my HVX. I want to safely turn the camera 90 degrees, so I don't have to zoom out so far to get the entire subject's body in the frame.

I assume the cheapest and easiest way to achieve this is to get a cheapo photography tripod and use some sandbags to hold down the tripod when it has the 6 pound HVX turned 90 degrees on top of it.

Any other solutions other than this?

Thanks.

It's actually a great way to go to do greenscreen, because you will effectively increase your vertical resolution considerably.

What you describe would work. Pretty much anything that holds in place securely and safely should do.

I do this all the time for GS stand ups it works great. I just rotate my camera tripod plate 90 degrees and cant the camera a full 90 and lock it down.

I know I'm late to this thread but if there are others who read this later there is a product made by Spider Support Systems called the Ringo Head for just this application. I've used it for green screen shoots as well as when shooting for vertically mounted displays. www.spidersupport.com
