posted this in FCP but got no response maybe i will here? shoot some green screen stuff for a music video and i got it to work, but i getting a green high light around the person i used minus green to break her apart but i think b/c of her hair theres a different shade of green. is their a solution to this or is there some way i canuse that green outline and turn it into another color to give her a glowing feel instead of the green.

Why is this posted in this forum? If you're working with the keyer in FCP, you should leave it in the FCP forum and be patient for a reply.

At the very least, if you post in the grabs/clips section with a technical question you should have a grab/clip of your work in progress :)

Thanks, just needed some quick help.... i don't know how to make a grab/clip i would ask but this is the wrong forum. but thanks for redirecting me in the right direction.

i feel you completely. It seems help has become slightly more lazy these days, maybe its just a phase.

dont have fcp though, sorry cant help ya there.

Sorry, haven't done any green screen stuff myself. Did you use a magenta light to balance any green reflection from the screen?

You should looking around in the lighting forum as well perhaps. Could help.

Im not sure how the keyer works in FCP, but it should be similiar to Avid, use the eyedropper and key as close to the talent as you can. If there is still a line around them, adjust the GAIN and SOFTNESS. As shibuya said, hopefully you counteracted the green reflection with +2 magenta.

In premeire the effect is called color pass. I've used it to change the remaining green to the color that matches the talents hair better.

Use the feather option and line thin to get it as close as you can. FCP's keyer sucks, after effects keylight is what you wanna use.
