Green head

Okay, so I shot a bald headed guy in front of my first green screen project and now I have no idea how to get the green halo from around his head. I operate in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!:

I haven't used Premiere, but most compositing tools have spill suppressor settings, the purpose of which is precisely to deal with this issue. I would assume Premiere has this functionality, but it should be easy enough to determine from the manual.

You might be able to fix this up with some colour correction. In Adobe Camera Raw you can push different colours in different directions. I've used it to make a fluorescent lit green background better match a flash lit foreground before. Maybe Premiere has a plugin which can perform this kind of manipulation?

In the future, if you move your subject further from your screen you'll reduce the amount of spill.

Try playing with the Similarity, Blend, Threshold and Cutoff. (They are in the Chroma Key effect.) I've used this with some success before in cleaning up the green outlines.

I WAS using some other Key ('RGB Difference' I think) And then I read that Premiere Pro changed the name of the 2.0 'Green Screen Key' to 'Chroma Key' in CS4. I used it and it has a 'blend' option that simply removes all green from around the edges.
