Green flash frame, VariCam LT footage in Resolve 14

In DaVinci Resolve Studio 14, I'm getting green flash frames in my export video at the cut points between 24fps footage and 60fps footage shot on my VariCam LT (AVC Intra 4K). Has anybody else experienced this problem, and if so, what was your solution or workaround? Thanks!

This was typical with almost any H.264 editing back in the day (maybe still is... I've just learned to avoid it), and something you don't catch until after your render it. The Intra codec seems to be so much more stable, but it may be having a tough time with the frame rate change.

Here's a couple of quick questions that may/may not have anything to do with it, but might help with the troubleshooting:

What is your timeline/sequence frame rate in Resolve?
Assuming your timeline is 24 fps, did you shoot your "overcranked" 60 fps footage at base frequency of 24 fps?
Is this true "24 fps" or did at any point did you inadvertently select 23.98 (either on your natively shot "24 fps" or base for overcranked 60 fps... or is the timeline/sequence itself accidentally set to 23.98, maybe)?

As for a workaround, if you have another NLE (e.g. Premiere, FCPX), try rendering the clips in place and exporting as an XML from Resolve. Import to Premiere/FCP, make sure transitions are in place, then export to file and review. This might shed some light on whether it is a Resolve issue or not.

Thanks guys, but after a lot of troubleshooting the problem still persisted until I exported the video, then imported the export and cut out the flash frame. Not ideal, obviously. It seems to be one thing after another with Resolve, even while editing very simple short form projects.

If it happens again and you really need to figure this out, you should maybe try the Blackmagic forum as there are a lot more (quantity) experienced people (with the software) over there whom may be able to help solve this quirk.
