Greatest Michael Jackson photos ever taken...

So as a big life long fan and supporter of Michael Jackson, and due to his recent passing, I'd like, as many of his fans would, for him to be remembered properly, positively, for who he really was.

Friends of his, Nancy and Al Malnik, posted a series of photos on a facebook page called, "Photos from the real Michael Jackson... friend and father".

They are single handedly the best and most honest photos of this man the public has ever seen. They're from 2002 or 2003, and they feature Michael just spending time with his friends, their families, his kids, their kids, just relaxing and being himself, no costumes, no makeup, no throngs of people, no spectacle, just him.

I just felt I should share. HERE'S THE LINK.

I think that if MJ and his handlers had shared more candid images over the years, it could have done a little bit to offset the tremendous mystery and suspicion surrounding him. The more mainstream celebrity rags could have picked these up as occassional exclusives and it might have diminished the "odd recluse" factor.

Michael was either grossly mis-managed or ignored what his handlers told him. Revealing, no matter how innocent it might've been, that he had these innappropriate contacts with children literally destroyed him. No matter where you fall on him in this regard, he (and presumably his people) handled it very poorly.

It is good to see that he was out there and, eventually, future generations might only remember the music legacy he left behind.

My young children are fans of Elvis and we try to focus them on his music. They can discover the rest as they grow older if it is still central to his legacy.

Like many, I guess I thought less of Michael as the years progressed but back in the 70s and 80s... we were all fans.

I agree that if some of these kinds of photos had gotten out to the press it would have gone a LONG way in humanizing the man. I too think he was grossly mishandled.

Some real fun photos there and it's awesome to see them.

i agree with all of these responses sofar...awesome. for me...photo 35 is the one that has actually amazed me, having never seen it before. it is the side of him the press has always tried to claw at. MJ then and MJ now. he wears it on his shirt with a smile, as if to say "screw you...i'm still me."
