Greatest Fights Ever Filmed!!!!

shaka zulu everybody throwing spears then they block it with their sheilds and then they go home but not shaka he snaps the spear in half then charges the crowd of unarmed warriors and proceeds to stab them and the other follow him

The Top Six IMO:

#6. Rocky Balboa vs. Ivan Drago in Rocky IV

#5. Robin Hood (Errol Flynn) vs. Sir Guy of Gisbourne (Basil Rathbone) in The Adventures of Robin Hood

#4. Sean Thornton (John Wayne) vs. Will Danaher (Victor McLaglen) in The Quiet Man

#3. Darth Maul vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi & Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace

#2. Indiana Jones vs. 1st Mechanic (Pat Roach) in Raiders of the Lost Ark

and the top fight ever filmed...
#1. Darth Vader vs. Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi

Rocky vs. Creed in Rocky I. There was so much heart and soul in that fight. It was just amazing.

The triple threat lightsaber fight in Phantom Menace tops anything in the "holy trilogy" of SW movies. When I was a kid they were awesome, but that fight tops them all. Awesome fight sequence. Other than the Luke I am your father, the fight was less than thrilling to me.

My all time favorite has to go to Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner in The War of the Roses.

Damn, John beat me to the "They Live" fight scene in the alley. The most outrageous/ridiculous/funny fight scene ever. The multiple knees to the crotch are freakin' hilarious. Keith David and Rowdy Roddy Piper, what more could you ask for?

Ali/Forman: The Rumble in the Jungle.

Non-Fiction, but still, it's the best fight scene filmed...

Other than that, Rocky 1 & 2

Ong Bak has raised the bar. It has 3 of the top 4 best fights ever. Hard to beat Bruce Lee underground fight in Enter the Dragon too.

I stand corrected....

Never saw forman and lyle. Did see lamotta/robinson and you're right that was much much better.

oh man it was amzing watching two heavy hitters trading blow for blow with no regard for defense

I don't know if this one was mentioned but, even though it was only one person, Ed Norton in Fight Club. One of my top 5.

how about jim carey in the mens room liar liar

You guys all brought up some really excellent fight scenes.
I'm surprised that nobody brought up one of my all time favorites (maybe it's my age- and the commercials for the video game I see that reminds me of it)

"Warriors" where they brawl with the rollerskater gang in the subway bathroom.
really great shots that helped the action (inside-bathroom stall door explodes as skater gets body slammed).

Also:
Bruce Lee's duel with Chuck Norris "return of the Dragon."

Jet Li Ver. the Colonel in "Fists of Legend."

William Wallace- aka Mel Gisbson in "Braveheart" at the battle of...er..well, the first big battle. Vicious.

Band Of Brothers- the Battle of Bueafort, taking the Nazi positions and the 88's.
Winters was one helluva tactician.

Wow. Those are some GREAT fight sequences that I almost forgot about. Lotta movies I own that I have to watch again...getting nostalgic.

Umm...at the risk of being banned, I suppose...are the Matrix movies just not allowed, or am I the only newb who liked the fights? The 2nd and 3rd movies sucked royally (but who am I to say so), but the 1st was beautiful. I have to put the Morpheus vs. Neo training fight as my favorite.

Just my opinion.
