Great time to own a FS100

With the mass hysteria caused by the F announcements it strikes me that it couldn't be a better time to be looking to buy as FS100 or 700.

That's why I'm looking to buy a good secondhand FS100. I have missed my FS100 and have been kicking myself for selling it.

I was looking at some material I shot in the Summer and thought how much better it looked than I remember. Perhaps the hours of pixel peeping and testing made me only see the negatives of this camera and I over looked what was staring me in the face.

Anyway, hopefully there will be some poor sap who has bought the Sony new F 4k bullsh1t and is selling their FS100 to upgrade.

I was doing my usual ICE thing at the London F launch and didn't stop all day in the FS100/FS700 corner, and had a full room for the 1 hour workshop.

There's a genuine warmth expressed on this line that has people going misty eyed over the PD150 days and that these two are the spiritual successors (great image, bang for buck, sees in the dark, makes you re-evaluate assumptions for shooting indy docco).

I'm not saying that as a Sony shill - was shooting a big symposium in Orlando last week... Crew with full-on Panasonic setup saw the shots I was getting (slow shutter slomo, pseudo-crane from monopod, really wide shots from Tokina, everything shot 1080p60 by client request) and wanted my shots.

Even though F5 is very lustworthy, doesn't degrade the FS100/700 in the least. I note also that the FS100 second hand is a definite bargain as many FS100 owners keen to shift up to FS700.
