Great "Slider" and other gear for GH1

That looks really awesome. For $100 it is competitive with the DIY slider, but I will point out that it's 24", and you can do a 1 meter (Roughly 40 inches) DIY slider for around the same cost.

The problem with sliders is you have to be very careful when using it to get smooth slides. They are uneven when just sliding due to wobbling and if there's anything on the track it will make it unsmooth.

We hired a heavy duty slider and it was super smooth but it travelled on wheels.

I built the DIY slider on a recommendation and have been putting it to great use.

It's not THAT hard to get a smooth motion. But if it was a longer rail I could see some wobbling problems.

I liked your commercial. I chuckled to myself because I looked at your location (Alaska)
before watching, wondering what the video would be. Turns out to be a
commercial for the "Prospector" clothing store - what else?

Joking aside, I thought it was very well done. I love the shallow DOF. What camera
did you use?

you know I went through a rough time deciding on which slider to go with and for the price... ZA takes home the price.

Great review. I'm sure your review will change the mind of other filmmaker on a budget.

This is made with t slot aluminum, so if you want a longer section I would think you could just buy a longer section from your t slot aluminum dealer...
